Billy-Man-Jaro visits Kilimanjaro

Monkey mascot, also known as Billy-Man-Jaro, is back from his charity climb up Kilimanjaro, Africa.

Climbing the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Billy really did have a tough challenge ahead. All for a good cause, Billy jumped and swung his way up the mountain. We documented his trip and thought you’d like to see.

Taking the opportunity to relax whilst on the plane.

Eagerly awaiting the bus, bag packed, flag ready to go!

At the starting point – let’s do this!

A day for acclimatising to the altitude. Visiting Zebra Rocks.

The summit is now visible in the background – scary!

He’s done it – made it to the peak, Gilman’s point.

The finishing line – well-done team.

Billy and the rest of the team took part in the climb to raise money for four local organisations including Cardiac Risk in the Young, The Wingate Centre, Mid Cheshire’s Hospital’s Charity and RedShift. The team are very close to reaching their collective target of £20,000. To find out more and support them further click here.
