Embrace Nature, Protect Wildlife: Conservation Week Sept 2023

Here at Monkey Forest, we are thrilled to announce our upcoming Conservation Week, running from 18th to 24th September, dedicated to preserving and protecting native wildlife.

This week-long event promises to be an exciting blend of education, entertainment, and appreciation for the wonders of the natural world.

As part of our commitment to wildlife conservation, we are delighted to offer our visitors throughout Conservation Week the chance to make an even greater impact.

Each day, visitors will have the opportunity to decide where the proceeds from their ticket will go to out of the fantastic conservation organisations we support.

Each ticket purchased will be swapped for a token at the kiosk and you will be able to use this token to vote for the primate charity that matters most to you.

Together, we can make a significant difference in protecting these incredible creatures and their habitats.

 

Event Schedule:

Mid-week: Wildlife Trusts and Native Wildlife Conservation Gazebos – 

Throughout the midweek, we are honoured to host the esteemed teams from Native Wildlife Trusts such as the RSPB (Royal Society of Protection of Birds). The Trusts will set up a gazebo on the patio area, sharing valuable insights into the importance of protecting and conserving native wildlife. Join us as we learn about their initiatives, research, and ongoing efforts to preserve the precious habitats of our beloved wildlife.

Friday 22nd Evening: Yoga in the Monkey Forest (ticketed event) – 

Experience tranquillity like never before as we invite you to immerse yourself in a one-of-a-kind yoga session amidst the enchanting ambience of  Monkey Forest. Led by expert yoga instructor Sarah from Jakaranda Yoga, this unique event will not only rejuvenate your mind and body but also foster a deeper connection with nature and its inhabitants.

ALL PROFITS OF THE EVENT WILL BE DONATED TO PRIMATE CONSERVATION ORGANISATIONS.

Saturday 23rd : Britain’s Got Talent Poet Performance –

Prepare to be captivated as we welcome the sensational conservation poet, Aneeshwar Kunchala, who wowed the nation on Britain’s Got Talent. He will grace us with his famous thought-provoking poem, in amongst the monkeys, celebrating the beauty of wildlife and raising awareness about the significance of conservation.

Sunday 24th : Members Only Event with David Attenborough Film Producer –

 Exclusively for our esteemed members, we have arranged a special Q&A session with a Rosie Thomas, a film producer who worked on the Barbary macaque project alongside the legendary David Attenborough. Gain fascinating insights into the making of wildlife documentaries and learn about the incredible journeys of these captivating primates.

The evening will start at 5:30pm and finish at 7pm, there will be exclusive after-opening hours access to the Monkey Forest & Play Areas, the Q&A with Rosie, and a free hot drink on us.
