Things To Do In The Summer Holidays With The Kids

Stuck for ideas and looking for things to do in the summer holidays to keep the kids entertained?

Stoke on Trent is FULL of amazing attractions that may help with the search for fun this summer. As well as visiting the monkeys, of course, there are lots of things around us too to help make it a full day out or to do another day.

1 – Make a day of it at The Trentham Estate. Don’t just visit the monkeys, visit Trentham Gardens too and spend a full day on the estate.

Tickets must be purchased separately. Find out more about the gardens.

2 – Explore the woodland walk outside of Monkey Forest. Located just next to our carpark is a lovely woodland walk, which leads you to the Duke of Sutherland statue. This is a lovely walk (known as Monument Hill), despite being a tad on the steep side the views make up for it!

3 – Go potty in Staffordshire! Stoke on Trent is known for its pottery so why not make the most of it and visit one of the many pottery museums. Learn about the history and even get hands-on at Wedgewood, Emma Bridgewater and Middleport – just to name a few!
