For a limited time, between late November and January we invite you to experience this peaceful season through our Winter Walks With Monkeys, a private guided tour unlike any other.
This exclusive winter experience offers a rare opportunity to step into the forest when it’s usually closed to the public. You’ll adventure through 60 acres of stunning woodland alongside our 140 free-roaming Barbary macaques, observing their natural winter behaviours in an atmosphere of calm and stillness. It’s a side of the forest few ever get to see and one that’s truly unforgettable.
Led by one of our expert guides, the tour is designed for small groups of up to ten people. This intimate setting means you’ll have plenty of time to observe, ask questions, and truly connect with the forest and the fascinating inhabitants. Watch as the monkeys huddle for warmth, groom one another, and forage for food among the frosty branches.

Before you book, there are a few things to keep in mind. The Winter Walks With Monkeys tour is available for guests aged 14 and over, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Spaces are very limited, and once a date is booked, it can’t be changed, so please ensure your plans are firm before purchasing.
As this is a guided experience during the forest’s closed season, feeding of the monkeys is not included. The walk covers natural, uneven terrain, so comfortable footwear and warm clothing are essential. Please also arrive promptly at 11:15 am, as late arrivals may not be admitted once the tour has begun.
