Field Study Skills & Behaviour
Join us as we delve into the world of our free-roaming Barbary macaques. We'll learn how to use field study skills to track and find the monkeys in the forest, and record behaviour and health. These transferrable skills could then be used in the wild, as our forest us such a natural setting.
Together we'll learn the importance of animal behaviour, data collection and analysis; these useful tools can be transferred to further education or learning.
Aimed at: KS4 (14-16 years)
Session length: 60 mins in the forest

Conservation & Natural History
Why do Barbary macaques not have a tail? What's the purpose of their opposable toes? Why are they quadrupedal movers?
To find the answers to these questions and many more, we will look into the natural history of Barbary macaques!
We'll explore their threats and what makes them endangered in the wild. Let's discuss how conservation efforts support them.
