Mountain Monkey Madness

A guided tour through the forest, and exploring how different animals are adapted to their environment, and how environments change throughout the year. We'll discuss the reasons behind the endangered status of the Barbary macaque; and see how humans can have both a positive and negative impact on this. You'll be monkey MAD to miss out!

Learning Objectives

To gain an insight into how animals and plants are adapted differently to different situations, and how that might change through the season. To identify the impact humans can have on these environments.

  • Identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals
  • Identify and name a variety of common animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores

Amazing Adaptations

A guided tour through our unique woodland, discovering how the fascinating Barbary macaques are adapted to their natural environments and how that may translate to Trentham Monkey Forest. We will use what we see and use the enchanting forest as our immersive classroom.
