4 things to do this Autumn at Monkey Forest

1 – Watch the monkeys foraging for acorns

At this time of year, the forest is full of berries and acorns, a perfect treat for the monkeys. The forest has a number of large oak trees so acorns are plentiful. The monkeys really enjoy this seasonal treat and the nuts provide them with lots of goodness as the weather gets cooler.

2 – Collect autumnal leaves from the forest

As autumn creeps in the leaves slowly begin to change and tones of orange, red, yellow and green can be seen. Why not collect some leaves from the pathways (remember – you are not allowed over the rail) and create a collage when you get home with your little monkeys?

3 – Visit us for some Halloween fun

Chills and Thrills at Monkey Forest runs from the 23rd – 29th October. It’s your last chance to see the monkeys before we close for the season.

The Deadly Dungeon will be filled with gruesome games, fierce face painting, freaky fancy dress, a creepy coloring competition, and more. It’s the perfect way to keep your little ones entertained this coming half term. Find out more here.

4 – Warm up with a hot chocolate in The Banana Café

After exploring the forest and watching the monkeys why not enjoy a hot chocolate in The Banana Café – the perfect way to warm up. Treat yourself to a slice of cake too!
